Dictator in the making: Obama threatens the press (and some of you started noticing too)

Welcome to reality folks, this isn't new. It just started to happen to more "mainstream" reporters.

* Obama has coordinated his attacks against Glenn Beck since 2009! Media was silent
* Obama was punishing Fox-News several times during his first term, and he restarted that effort since his reelection
* Obama has his goons run MSNBC to a fine tune
* Obama has publicly criticized the availability of information sources in modern age, urging college students to stick to Huffington Post.

And now, he goes after the Left's Watergate journalism hero: (Links directly from Drudge home page)
* WHITE HOUSE THREATENS WOODWARD: 'YOU WILL REGRET DOING THIS'...
* Watergate reporter blasts Obama 'madness'...
* 'It makes me very uncomfortable'...

They also went after Democrat operative Lanny David: LANNY DAVIS: WH threatened me, too...

The war on free press is disgusting, and doesn't stop there: USA Today reporter: I know more than a few reporters who’ve gotten White House e-mails like the one Woodward got

These are the actions of a dictator. Glad some of you started to notice.

US Government says you are a fellon, everyone of you

I heard this story when it happened but certainly didn't give it the proper attention. Consider this conversation in the comments of the relevant article at Rolling Stones:

1rdd: What am I missing here, I've read that Swartz copied copyrighted material and put it on the internet. Isn't that stealing? Then he was arrested and put in jail where he sadly killed himself. Not a hater but he broke the law and was arrested so why are people mad?

It's unlikely you read that in the mainstream media.

He downloaded scholarly journal articles onto his laptop (which he was legally entitled to do) but he downloaded them in bulk (which was a violation of the Terms of Service). He did not put them on the Internet. He returned the hard drive with the downloaded articles and settled amicably with JSTOR.

The CFAA, which he allegedly violated, makes it a felony to violate the Terms of Service of any web site you visit. That means that almost everyone who uses the Web is technically a felon under the CFAA.

My state of the union recap

I didn't watch it, what's the point? Getting lied to? Exposing self to propaganda? I don't believe in this president's policies, in his picks for government appointments, and I'm pessimistic for the next 4 years. Don't see any need to get myself any further aggravated. This Marxist earned my : Anything but you and your way vote.

I don't understand why anyone would care about what he still has to say, in any forum or setting.
